Day 1:Arrival in Marrakech ➝ Guided Sightseeing Tour of the City (Approx. 3 to 4 hours of guided exploration)

Your 7 Day Morocco tour from Marrakech begins with a pickup from the airport by an experienced driver. After meeting at the airport’s exit, he will transfer you to your riad in the medina, where you can leave your luggage in your room and begin your city tour. Today, your guide will be a knowledgeable local who is well versed in the city’s landmarks and hidden treasures. After meeting your guide at the riad, you will head out to explore the city.

The three-hour sightseeing tour takes you to some of the oldest landmarks of the Red City (Marrakech), including the Old Medina (souks) and the Ben Youssef Quranic Mosque. After a break for lunch, continue exploring with your local guide and visit the Bahia Palace and the Saadian Tombs. Finally, you will reach Jemaa el-Fna Square and the Koutoubia Mosque. After saying goodbye to your guide, you will have free time to explore the medina at your own pace before returning to the riad for the night.

Day 2:Marrakech ➝ Tizi N’Tichka ➝ Ait Ben Haddou ➝ Ouarzazate ➝ Rose Valley ➝ Boumalne Dades (330 km – Approx. 6 Hours’ Drive with stops)

Today, on the second day of your 7 Day Morocco tour, we begin our journey across the High Atlas Mountains after bidding farewell to the vibrant city of Marrakech. About two hours after departure, we stop at a panoramic viewpoint to admire the breathtaking scenery. If you are lucky, you may witness the Atlas Mountains beautifully adorned with snow. We then continue to the Tizi N’Tichka Pass, which stands at an altitude of 2,260 meters above sea level.

After a short break, we drive toward the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a historic site featured in several famous films and series, including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Our next stop is Kalaat M’Gouna, where you can enjoy stunning views of the Rose Valley. Finally, we head to Boumalne Dades, where you will spend a peaceful night in a beautiful mountain riad.

Day 3:Dades Gorge ➝ Todgha Gorge ➝ Sahara Desert of Merzouga (250 km – Approx. 6 Hours’ Drive with stops)

Enjoy a delicious breakfast while listening to the birds sing. Afterward, we drive to the Dades Gorge for a short visit, including the famous Monkey Finger Rock formations. After exploring these two breathtaking sites, we depart toward the Sahara Desert, stopping at two captivating locations along the way: Todgha Gorge and the Rissani Market.

Upon arrival at Todgha Gorge, feel free to stroll along the beautiful river that flows through the canyon. This river stretches for approximately 28 kilometers and has slowly carved the sandstone and limestone cliffs into a dramatic gorge reaching depths of around 500 meters. Next, we continue to Rissani, the birthplace of the Alaouite dynasty, from which Morocco’s current royal family descends. Since ancient times, Rissani has been known as an important commercial center where major African caravans once stopped to trade their goods.

From there, we continue to our destination, the Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival, you will mount your camel and ride across the dunes to reach the desert camp for a memorable overnight stay. At the camp, enjoy a delicious dinner and the warm atmosphere created by the staff.

Day 4:Sahara Desert Excursion by 4×4 ➝ Visit Nomads, Gnawa Village & Oasis (30 km – Approx. 4 Hours of Exploration)

Today, we start a round trip to visit the Gnawa musicians, stop for tea with real nomads, and explore a fossil museum. The area is famous for its fossil treasures and natural wealth. Next, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant specializing in traditional pizza. Afterward, continue wandering through one of the area’s oases. If you are looking for extra adventure, you can rent a quad and drive across the dunes or try sandboarding (free rental) in the afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay at a wonderful hotel.

Day 5:Sahara Desert ➝ Rissani Market ➝ Alnif ➝ Tazarine ➝ Nakoub ➝ Ouarzazate (330 km – Approx. 6 Hours’ Drive)

Today is your last day in the desert. Feel free to take a final walk near your hotel, which is located at the edge of the dunes. Once you are ready, we leave the fascinating golden dunes and drive toward Ouarzazate via Alnif, Tazarine, and Nakoub. Along the way, we will make several stops to admire the beautiful landscapes along the road. After lunch in Nakoub, we continue to Ouarzazate, where you will spend the night.

Day 6:Ouarzazate ➝ Telouet (Approx. 65 km – 1.5 to 2 hours’ drive)

From Ouarzazate’s busy alleyways, where cinematic stories echo through kasbahs and film studios, the road winds through rocky landscapes dotted with historic mud-brick villages and terraced farms. The route gradually climbs into the High Atlas Mountains, offering stunning views of rugged peaks and lush valleys. In the afternoon, we arrive in Telouet, where you will spend the night in a simple auberge, with dinner and breakfast included.

Day 7:Telouet ➝ Marrakech Airport (Approx. 150 km – 4 to 5 hours’ drive)

Today, we drive back to Marrakech from Telouet village. Depending on your departure time, we will transfer you directly to Marrakech Airport or to your booked accommodation. At this point, your 7-day itinerary in Morocco comes to an end.

If you prefer to end the tour in Fes instead of driving back to Marrakech, we highly recommend our 7 Day Morocco Tour from Marrakech to Fes. Things to Know Before Your Trip:

Know Before You Go

Travel Documents

Make sure you bring all required travel documents, including a valid passport and any necessary visas for Morocco. Some nationalities may require additional permits, so it’s always best to check current entry regulations before your trip. Keeping digital backups of your documents on your phone is helpful in case of loss and makes hotel check-ins smoother.

Clothing & Essentials

Morocco’s landscapes vary widely, so pack clothing suitable for changing temperatures. Comfortable, breathable outfits are ideal for daytime, while evenings—especially in desert or mountain regions—can be much colder. Bring essential items such as sunscreen, sunglasses, a hat, and reliable walking shoes. A small backpack is useful for carrying your belongings during daily activities.

Weather Conditions

Weather conditions differ greatly from one region to another. Desert areas are hot during the day but cool at night, while mountain regions can be cold even in summer. Checking the weather forecast before your tour will help you pack properly and stay comfortable throughout your journey.

Hydration & Snacks

Staying hydrated is important, especially during longer drives or outdoor activities. We recommend carrying bottled water and light snacks such as fruit or energy bars. Your guide will make regular stops at cafés and local shops where you can purchase refreshments and discover local flavors.

Health & Safety

Your safety is our top priority. Our guides are experienced professionals who provide assistance and advice throughout your journey. If you have medical conditions or mobility concerns, please let us know in advance so we can adapt your tour accordingly. Following your guide’s instructions during activities ensures a safe and enjoyable experience.

Photography

Morocco offers endless photo opportunities, from desert dunes to ancient kasbahs. You are welcome to take photos, but always ask permission before photographing people. To avoid running out of battery during long days, we recommend bringing a portable charger or power bank, as some remote areas have limited electricity access.

Cash & Payments

While credit cards are accepted in many cities, smaller villages and rural areas often operate on a cash-only basis. Carrying Moroccan dirhams (MAD) is recommended for small purchases, tips, and personal expenses. ATMs are available in most cities, but less common in remote areas, so withdrawing cash beforehand is helpful.

Respect Local Culture

Morocco is a culturally rich and welcoming country. When visiting traditional villages, religious sites, or rural areas, modest clothing is appreciated. Your guide will explain local customs and etiquette to help you interact respectfully. Learning a few basic Arabic words like “Salam” (hello) and “Shukran” (thank you) can enhance your experience.

Transportation Comfort

All our tours use modern, air-conditioned vehicles designed for comfort during short and long journeys. Throughout the drive, your guide will arrange regular breaks for restrooms, stretching, photos, and snacks. Our vehicles are maintained to high safety standards to ensure a smooth and enjoyable ride.

Flexibility & Personalization

We understand that every traveler has different interests. Our tours are designed to be flexible, allowing you to adjust timing, add optional stops, or personalize parts of the itinerary. Simply let your guide know your preferences, and we will do our best to make your experience memorable and tailored to your needs.
