In the Sahara Desert, if you are a lover of adventurous, rent a quad and try the experience of driving on the dunes. on the remaining days, we leave the desert and head back on the road to Marrakech, where your 6-day Morocco desert trip comes to an end.

Morocco Itinerary: 6 Days tour from Marrakech to Merzouga

    6 Days in Morocco

Day 1: Marrakech » Tizi N T’ichka » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Ouarzazate » Rose Valley » Boumalne Dades

The first day of your 6-day tour in Morocco takes us to the Boumalne Dades. After leaving Marrakech, we will be making our first stop at the highest point of the Atlas Mountains, called T’ichka Pass, with an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level. Here, you can witness and enjoy a breathtaking view of the Atlas before continuing our journey to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. Originally, the Kasbah consisted of numerous constructed houses, encircled by a wall to provide protection from the enemy.

The inhabitants of the Kasbah can control every action from the watchtower at the top of the Kasbah. Afterward, we continue our journey to Kalaat M’Gouna, an enchanting city renowned for its thousands of roses, also known as Rose City. We aim to gain a deeper understanding of the production process of various rose-based products. Our destination is next, not far away. Once we arrive, we will drop you off at your riad for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Gorge » Todgha Gorge » Sahara Desert of Merzouga

A wonderful day is about to start! The third day of your tour begins with a visit to the breathtaking Dades Gorge and the famous Monkey Finger Rocks, both of which are fascinating and worth a visit. From there, we move on to Todgha Gorge in Tinghir region. It’s very famous because it’s a gorge that includes rivers, rocks, mountains, and trees. Take a walk along the river to see how important this water resource is to the locals in the area. Later We’ll stop to admire the valley’s magical landscape.

After lunch in one of the local restaurants, we continue to the Sahara Desert. Upon arrival, ride your camels, which will transport you to the desert camp. Enjoy the breathtaking sunset from one of the grand dunes in the middle of the desert, then proceed to the camp. Upon your arrival, a glass of tea and a delicious dinner await you. Enjoy the Berber music as you sit around the campfire, surrounded by an open sky full of stars.

Day 3: Sahara Desert Excursion by 4*4 (Visit Nomads, Gnawa, Oasis)

Explore the desert region today to learn about the ancient Berber culture of Morocco. From your desert camp, we embark on a desert excursion towards the Nomad families, who reside behind the renowned Erg Chebbi Dunes, just 20 kilometers from the Algerian borders. Once we reach the Nomads, we will enjoy tea under their handwoven tent, crafted from camel skin. Feel free to ask any questions you have about their way of life, lifestyle, and so on. After giving them a tip, we proceed to Mefiss, where we will have the opportunity to explore mines constructed by the French military. The place is very famous for the extraction of minerals, eyeliner, and fossils.

Afterward, we move on to Khamlia village, where black-skinned people play African music. The inhabitants of Khamlia village hail from various countries such as Mali, Senegal, and South Africa. After giving them a tip for their musical talents, we proceed to lunch in the same village. Furthermore, we make a final visit to an area at the edge of the dunes to explore the local plants. Finally, after a full-day trip around the Merzouga Desert, we drop you off at a luxury hotel for your last night in Merzouga.

    Day 4: Sahara Desert » Alnif » Tazarine » Nakoub » Ouarzazate

On the fourth day of your six-day Marrakech-Sahara Desert tour, we travel to Ouarzazate via charming sites and cities. Along the way, we will make a first pause in Rissani. The city has a famous market where all the inhabitants from the surrounding villages come to shop or to sell what they. The Villages account for 160 villages, including Merzouga, because most of the desert’s inhabitants come to Rissani to shop as well.

What is surprising here in the city is that all the villages have one mode of transportation, which is donkeys. For that reason, you can see in the parking full of donkeys instead of cars. The market is live three times a week (Thursday, Tuesday, and Sunday). From Rissani, we continue to Alnif, Tazarine, and Nakoub for a lunch break with a panoramic view of the valley. Furthermore, we continue to our destination, Ouarzazate, to spend the night in a lovely riad or hotel.

    Day 5: Ouarzazate » Tizi N T’ichk pass » Marrakech

Ready to hit the road again! Once you have your breakfast and took a much-needed shower, we leave for Marrakech via the stunning village of Telouet, which is spectacularly located at the heart of the Atlas Mountains. We will make a pause to witness the magical landscape of the area, then continue for lunch in Tizi N T’ichka. When we arrive in Marrakech at early noon, we will drop you off at a traditional Riad, located in the heart of the ancient Medina.

    Day 6: Marrakech Airport Transfer

The final day of your 6-day Morocco Desert Tour is contingent upon your departure time. If you are leaving the country during the morning or midday, we will still transfer you to the airport, but in case your flight departure is during the afternoon, evening, or night, we will plan a local tour guide to show you Marrakech and all its hidden gems.
