Welcome to Morocco! The 7 Days tour from Fes to Marrakech starts with a welcoming Airport pickup by one of our excellent tour guides. From the Airport you will be transferred to a completely traditional Riad for an overnight stay.

Discovering the history of this ancient city is the sole focus of today. The city tour begins at the golden royal palace’s gates. Moving on to the ancient medina, a maze of narrow alleys and bustling markets where centuries-old traditions come to life, feel free to marvel at the architectural wonders of Bou Inania Madrasa and Al-Attarine Madrasa. Discover Fes’ historic significance at the University of Al Quaraouiyine, the world’s oldest continuously operating university.

From the panoramic views of the Merenid Tombs to the tranquil ambiance of the Jardin Jnan Sbil, every corner of Fes unveils a new layer of its storied past and vibrant culture, promising an unforgettable journey through Morocco’s imperial city. At the end of the day, say good-bye to your local guide and head back on the road to the Riad for a second overnight.

Let us embark on our journey to Merzouga’s Sahara Desert. We make a halt in Ifrane, a city in the heart of the Atlas Mountains renowned for its high levels of snowfall and frigid temperatures, an hour after we leave. Next, we journey to the renowned Cedar Forest, a fascinating site that has transformed into a natural habitat for wild monkeys, also known as Barbary macaques, scattered throughout the forest. Remember to capture as many images as possible but be mindful of the potential for theft. If you would like to feed them, please do so. They can be hazardous at times.

Next, take a break for lunch before proceeding to the Ziz Valley, where hundreds of palm trees form a breathtaking, sweeping panorama. After an 8-hour drive, we arrive at our destination, the Sahara Desert of Merzouga. You will be here. Riding on majestic camels, the rhythmic sway of their gait transports guests across the shifting sands to a typical Berber camp set among the dunes. The Berber hosts greet guests with friendly hospitality at the camp, serving warm mint teacups and filling Moroccan meals under the stars. Enjoy a lovely evening with dinner and traditional Berber music.

We’re still spending one more day in the desert region to see what the area has to offer and learn about the inhabitants’ cultures and traditions. Mount your camel and return to the village to meet your driver’s guide. Firstly, we pay a short visit to Khamlia Village, home of the Gnawa tribe. Amazing rhythms and a glass of mint tea greet every guest who enters their door as a sign of welcome. Before we depart, consider leaving a tip as a wonderful way to show your support for them! From there, we go off-road to Mefiss Mountain, where the French army established a colony.

Many minerals are extracted here and shipped to France in large quantities. Furthermore, we visit one of the Berber nomad families in their traditional tent for a cup of tea and learn more about their lifestyle, traditions, and culture. Before we depart, please feel free to leave a tip. We can now enjoy lunch at a restaurant that specializes in making Berber pizza. Last but not least, make a final visit to a local oasis to observe the flora that grows there. Finally, we drop you off at a wonderful hotel for the night.

Ready to leave the breathtaking desert of Merzouga? Take a last wander at the closest dune to your hotel as a way to say goodbye to this incredible area. After completing your activities, we will proceed to Rissani, renowned for its breathtaking market that operates three times a week. If we are lucky, we will come on the day of the souk, a day where everybody is busy either selling or buying something. The market welcomes people from over 360 villages.

Later, once we finish the strolling, we drive to Todgha Gorge, a must-see tourist attraction in Morocco. Over centuries, the Todga River carved the Todra Gorge, a natural oasis in the eastern part of the Atlas Mountains, out of limestone. With canyon walls reaching over 400 meters high, it is taller than the Empire State Building in New York. Once we reach Boumalne, Dades, we drop you off in a quaint riad.

What a treat to wake up to bird songs in the Atlas Mountains! Before departing for Marrakech, have your breakfast, and let’s take a quick trip to the Dades Gorge. The Dades River meanders through the gorge, creating a stunning scene with its sheer cliff sides and towering rock formations. Take some photos of the charming place, then continue to visit the Rose Valley and women’s cooperatives to see what rose products they make.

Later, we set off again to the charming Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified town nestled along the ancient caravan route connecting the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. The Kasbah represents Morocco’s rich history and architecture. Afterward, we leave the place and drive to Marrakech via Tizi N’Tichka, a connecting point between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Tizi N’Tichka is situated at an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level. Once we traverse the Grand Atlas Mountains, we reach Marrakech, where we will deposit you at a delightful riad.
