Today marks the start of your Marrakech to Fes Desert tour 2 Days, from your Marrakech accommodation. A native driver from Africa North Journeys Agency will pick you up and head to the Sahara Desert, leaving the Red City of Marrakech behind. The Journey is filled with numerous stops and visits in every interesting place. While crossing the High Atlas Mountains, we will make a first stop at Tizi N T’ichka Pass, an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level.

We will pause only to take in the breathtaking view of the mountains, creating a mystical location for each onlooker. Furthermore, we continue our journey to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, passing through stunning landscapes many Berber villages along the way. Once in the Kasbah, we will guide you all around to discover and understand the complex history and to get to know the ancient Moroccan architecture. We will only take a photo in front of the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate, regrettably destroyed after the last earthquake. Therefore, we proceed to Kalaat M’Gouna, where an annual rose festival commences.

Next, we stop to admire the stunning view of the Rose Valley, then continue driving to the Todgha Gorge and Valley in Tinghir. On the way, we will pass by Tinjadad and Mallaab village, where you can try to wear the traditional Berber outfit for a memorable picture in front of the palm trees that live in the area.

Furthermore, we will reach the Sahara Desert, where your camels are prepared to embark on a journey that will leave a lasting impression. You’ll cross the desert with camels. Stop at a peak overlooking the view in the middle of the dunes to enjoy a stunning sunset and capture unforgettable photos. When you arrive at your desert camp, a mint tea glass awaits you. Later, the camp staff will show you your tent, where you will spend the night. If you’re lucky and the weather is clear, you can catch a fabulous sunrise over the dunes today. After that, have breakfast and maybe a much-needed shower; pack your luggage; and get ready for a 9-hour’ drive. Your 2-day trip from Marrakech to Fes via the Sahara Desert commences. From the golden dunes of Merzouga, we will be heading to the scientific capital, Fes.

Numerous places await exploration amidst the enchanting landscapes. Ziz Valley is today’s first stop after crossing the Desert Gate (Erfoud City). The inhabitants of these charming oases solely cultivate palm trees, as they are the only plants capable of enduring the dry, desert climate and challenging terrain. Following that, we head to Medilt for a lunch break. Later, we cross the Middle Atlas Mountains to reach the Cedar Forest, where you can witness both the beautiful view and the wild monkeys that settled their home in the forest.

From there, we move on to Ifrane, a cozy small town called the “Little Switzerland of Morocco.” Here, we take a break for coffee and see the lion statue in the middle of the city. Finally, after a long route, we arrive in Fes, where we will either drop you off at your accommodation or directly at the airport.
