Today’s destination is the captivating rock formations of Boumalne Dades, reached through a series of beautiful stops and visits. Our first stop is the Tizi N’Tichka Pass in the High Atlas Mountains, standing at 2,260 meters above sea level. Here, you can enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the Atlas range. We then continue toward the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987. Many famous films and series such as Game of Thrones, The Mummy, and Gladiator were filmed here.

You will have plenty of time to explore the kasbah at your own pace, discovering its traditional architecture and rich history. Afterward, we stop nearby for lunch before heading to Ouarzazate and Kalaat M’Gouna, home of the stunning Rose Valley. If you wish, you can visit a local women’s cooperative to see how rose-based products are made. We then continue to Boumalne Dades, where we visit the famous Monkey Finger Rocks and the impressive Dades Gorge. Finally, we drop you off at your riad for an overnight stay.

Your 3-day desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga continues on the second day. After enjoying a traditional breakfast in Boumalne Dades, we begin our journey toward the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Along the way, we make several stops to soak in the enchanting landscapes and observe the Berber villages scattered across the region. Upon reaching Tinghir, we stop at the Todgha Valley to admire its stunning panoramic views. We then continue to the Todgha Gorge, an impressive canyon with limestone cliffs rising up to 300 meters, narrowing at certain points to just 10 meters wide. The river flowing through the gorge adds even more beauty feel free to take a short walk and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. After lunch at a local restaurant, we continue our drive toward the Sahara Desert.

Upon arrival in Merzouga, you will meet your camels and begin a scenic trek across the dunes. We stop at a high viewpoint to watch a magical Sahara sunset don’t forget to capture the moment with your camera. After sunset, continue your camel ride to the desert camp, where your luggage will already be waiting. You’ll be welcomed with a refreshing glass of mint tea and some nuts before being shown to your private tent. Later in the evening, enjoy a delicious Berber dinner followed by traditional music and drumming around the campfire. When the camp lights dim, take the opportunity to admire the vast sky full of stars, or walk a short distance into the dunes for an even more breathtaking view.

To make your final morning in the desert truly unforgettable, we recommend waking up early to witness what may be the most beautiful sunrise of your life. The dunes near your camp offer the perfect spot to admire this magical moment. After enjoying a Berber breakfast and taking a refreshing shower, you will ride the camels back to the village to meet your driver-guide. From Merzouga, we first visit the Rissani Market for a short stop, then continue toward Alnif, where you can enjoy a relaxing coffee break. Later, we head to Nakoub for lunch at a restaurant overlooking the valley.

The journey then continues through the spectacular Daraa Valley, home to Morocco’s longest river stretching over 1,100 kilometers. Your driver will stop at the most interesting viewpoints, and additional stops can be made upon request. We then cross the Tizi N’Tichka Pass once again before reaching Marrakech in the late afternoon.
