Day 1: Marrakech » High Atlas Mountains » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Ouarzazate » Todgha Gorge » Merzouga Desert (564 Km – 10 Hours’ Drive)


Today marks the beginning of your Marrakech to Merzouga Desert tour 2 days. An experienced driver guide will be picking you up at 7:00. From your accommodation in Marrakech. The way is very long to reach our destination, Sahara Desert, so we will break it up with some interesting stops and visits along the way. Two hours after leaving Marrakech, we will make the first stop at the highest point in the High Atlas Mountains, called Tizi N’T’ichka, which is an elevation of 2260 meters above the sea level.

the stop made only to witness the breathtaking view of the Atlas Mountains and the Berber villages, then we continue the journey across the Ait ben Haddou Kasbah, here feel free to explore an ancient Moroccan Kasbah that has served as a filming spot for numerous famous movies and series, including “Gladiator,” “The Game of Thrones,” “The Mammy,” and many others.


The coming stops, Todgha Valley and Gorge, and finally the Sahara Desert


Furthermore, we leave the Kasbah, and drive to Ouarzazate where we make a lunch break at a local restaurant. Thereafter, we continue to Todgha Gorge passing through the rose city knwon as (Kalaat M’Gouna), here, if you wish, you can visit one of the women’s cooperatives that produces various bioproducts from roses. The city knows every May of the year a festival which lasts 3 days of Celebrations.

Once in Todgha gorge, have a short walk along the river to enjoy the atmosphere that the place offers. The gorges extend over a distance of 25 kilometers. They are solid, rocky components that do not break easily. From there we leave for Merzouga Desert. Here, you will ride the camels among the golden dunes to spend a crazy night at a luxury desert camp.


Day 2: Sahara Desert » Rissani » Daraa Valley » Ouarzazate » Tizi N T’ichka » Marrakech (564 Km – 10 Hours’ Drive)


Wake up early today to witness the sunrise over the Golden dunes in front of your tent! Take a much-needed shower, enjoy a Berber breakfast, and mount back your camel to the Desert village. Once you meet your driver, hit the road back to Marrakech. Today we will be changing the route so you can enjoy and eitness different landscapes and places.

Today’s first stop is Souk of Rissani, a Market that being live three days a week (Thursday, Tuesday, and Sunday). It’s a typical traditional market where the surrounding villages in the area come to shop or sell what they produce. Donkeys here are one of the modes of transportation for locals, so you’ll likely see them parking a lot.

Thereafter, we continue to Alnif for a short break, then set off again to Nakoub and the Daraa Valley, passing through the largest palm trees and river in Morocco, Known as Daraa River, which spans 1100 kilometers.
