Welcome to the Moroccan Kingdom! A driver from Africa North Journeys will pick you up from the airport to begin your 14-day Morocco tour. From the airport, you will be transferred directly to a Wonderful Traditional Riad for overnight, located in the heart of Marrakech’s Red City. Feel free to go out after checking into your room. Visit Jamma el Fna and walk in the ancient Medina, as well as have dinner at a local restaurant if you wish.

Two hours after leaving Marrakech behind, The Tizi N’T’ichka is our first stop; it’s an elevation pass of 2260 meters above sea level. We dedicate our stop solely to capturing a memorable picture, after which we proceed to Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah.
With its walls, mud towers, small windows, and narrow, twisting alleys, the ten-century-old Ait Benhaddou Palace still stands tall in its namesake village, thirty kilometers from the city center of Ouarzazate in southeastern Morocco, where its houses and kasbahs cling miraculously to the slope of a large plateau overlooking the Ounla River. The Ait Benhaddou Palace, designated a World Heritage Site by the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in 1987, is an architectural monument that includes a number of houses and kasbahs and occupies an area of 1,300 square meters, with many narrow alleys intertwined in a unique geometric shape.

Next, we continue to Ouarzazate, a city situated between the desert and green valleys, bridging the past and present. It serves as the starting point for a journey to the southern region of Morocco, where we will discover numerous kasbahs, palaces, and sand dunes, all while immersing ourselves in the authentic and traditional lifestyle of the region’s inhabitants. From Ouarzazate, we continue to Boumalne Dades via the Rose Valley and Kalaat M’Guna. Once we reach our destination, we will take you directly to your riad for an overnight stay.
The fourth day of your two weeks in Morocco starts with a traditional breakfast, followed by a visit to the monkey’s finger rocks, as well as the Dades Gorges. Later, leave for the mesmerizing golden dunes of Merzouga, which lies in the southeast of Morocco. Your Africa North Journeys’ driver guide will come to pick you up from the camp, or you could ride your camel back to the village, depending on your choice. The first place you will visit is the Gnawa house, or Gnawa association, in Khamila Village, where black-skinned people live. After we enjoy their amazing songs, we give a small tip to them, then continue to Mifiss, a place where Berbers are still extracting minerals after it was first colonized by the French army. Next, we set off again to the nomads; once we arrive, we will be welcomed by a glass of tea from a simple Berber nomad family. After spending some time exploring, how do they live? And what’s their lifestyle? We leave for lunch at a local restaurant. Later, we take you to wander at one of the region’s oases, then finally drop you off at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Our visit to Morocco’s southeast ends here! Today we leave the Sahara Desert and drive to Fes, known as the scientific capital of Morocco. Along the way, we will stop in the charming panoramic overlooking the Ziz Valley. Later, we will stop for lunch either in Zaida or Medilt; furthermore, we will visit the Cedar Forest, where the wild Barbary Macaques live. Feel free to feed them if you wish, but be careful; they are a bit dangerous. Afterwards, we continue to Ifrane, the little Switzerland of Morocco. Take enough time to wander in this enchanting city before we hit the road again. Later on, we continue to Fes, where we will spend two incredible nights at a traditional Riad located in the heart of the Medina.
Today, we’re going to explore Fes and all of its historical sites and landmarks. Founded by the Arab ruler Idris in 789 AD, the city of Fez served as an important commercial center and was considered the capital of Morocco on several occasions. It witnessed its golden age under the rule of the Marinids, the ruling dynasty that ruled Fez during the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries.
Nowadays, the city is known as Fez Bali, and it still retains its charm through the passage of time, characterized by the brilliance of its streets, markets, crafts, decorative fountains, and local baths. Begin your visit to Fes with the following landmarks: the Najjarine Fountain, Medrasa Bouanania, Mallah Quarter, and lastly, the Quaraouin Mosque and University.
Your 14 days in Morocco, today we travel to Chefchaouen via two charming towns (Meknes and Volubilis). Once you pack your luggage and ready to go, we leave the historical city of Fes and make our first stops in Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities and the capital of Morocco During a period of time, feel free to wander in the city and visit all the opened landmarks such as Qara Prison, Bab Mansour, and Hri Souani, as well as the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the builder of the city. Furthermore, we continue on to Volubilis (the Roman Empire).

The tenth day of your Morocco itinerary 14 days takes us to Asilah via Tangier. Once we arrive the bride of the North “Tangier city”, we immediately start exploring its wonderful historical landmarks. The first site you will be exploring is the ancient Medina, which overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and forms a magical view. Later, after finishing strolls at the Medina, we move on to the Cape Spartel, where the historical minaret has stood since 1864. Spend some time or even have a coffee in front of this amazing Cape, then we leave for Hercule’s Cave, one of the world’s most magical places. Furthermore, have lunch in Tangier, then continue to the small, cozy, artistic town of Asilah, where you can mark the end of your day watching the breathtaking sunset at the beach.
Today we travel from Asilah to Casablanca via the royal capital, Rabat, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, a city with a deep history and culture. In Rabat, you will visit Hassan Tower, and just beside it, you can see the Mausoleum of two great kings (Hassan II and Mohamed 5). Later, visit the Oudays Kasbah and the ancient Kasbah of Challah. Lunch in Rabat, then we hit the road to Casablanca, where the tenth night waits for us.
After breakfast, we visit the most famous landmark here in Casablanca, which is the Hassan II Mosque. Once you have completed the visit, we will drive you to the small, charming artistic town of Essaouira, which is located on the western coast of the country. When we arrive in Essaouira, we will drop you off at your riad, located in the old Medina.
This is a day for both exploration and relaxation. There is no better way to spend today’s morning than by taking a leisurely stroll through Essaouira’s ancient Medina, often called Mogador. Seize the opportunity to try the seafood in the city; it’s definitely delicate and not frozen. Take a short walk to the beach and Skala. Afterwards, if you desire, we can take a tour to Sidi Kaouki, which is 30 kilometers from Essaouira. Here are many activities you can do, such as riding quads or going surfing, as well as experiencing horseback riding. If you are not a fun of activities, you can sit in one of the cafes that overlooks the sea and watch the sunset. At the end of the day, we take you back to the Riad, where you can relax and enjoy your final night in Essaouira.
Today We leave Essaouira after breakfast and drive to Marrakech, known as the red city, depending on your departure time.
