Morocco itinerary: 5 Day Morocco tour

Day 1:Arrival in Fes - Sightseeing tour with a Local Guide

Welcome to Morocco! The 5 Day trip to Morocco from Fes starts with a welcoming Airport pickup by one of our excellent tour guides. From the Airport you will be transferred to a lovely traditional Riad for check-in to your room. Once you leave the luggage in your Riad we will meet you with a local tour guide who will show you and explain everything that can be interesting! First, discover the palace’s golden gates, then embark on an overlooking panorama to watch the Old Medina of Fes from the top of the hill.

Afterwards, we take you to visit the pottery factory. In Fes, its famous handcrafters produce hundreds of different pottery products. Thereafter, dive into the history of Fes by entering the old Medina, where you can explore the following sites: the Quaraouin mosque, Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, and the tanneries. Later, after having lunch in a local restaurant, say goodbye to your local guide, and our driver will meet you to transfer you to your riad.

Day 2:Fes » Ifrane » Cedar Forest » Ziz Valley » Sahara Desert (Merzouga)

Pack your luggage and get well-started to hit the road towards Merzouga’s Desert. After having breakfast, we leave Fes. The Way will lead us to the small, cozy city of Ifrane, a town nestled in the Middle Atlas Mountains, a place that has been a location for wild animals, in particular the lion. If you pay attention, you can see a lion statue in the city center, which means what we said above. Thereafter, we continue to the Cedar Forest a natural beauty, ecological importance, and cultural significance. It is also recognized as one of the most renowned forests in Morocco. Here, the famous barbary macaques live; feel free to feed them if you desire.

Next, continue to Ziz Valley. Also spelled Ziz Gorge, is a breathtaking natural wonder located in eastern Morocco. Later once you have lunch in a local restaurant, we continue to Merzouga Desert. Upon arrival Arrive at the Auberge and leave your luggage for the car to import to the camp. During your ride, your camels cross the dunes. Stop at one of the highest dunes to catch a memorable sunset, then continue to the desert camp. Once you arrive, take a much-needed hot shower and dinner, and get ready to enjoy a happy night under Berber drum rhythms. Later, catch the stars at one of the closest dunes away from the camp’s light.

Day 3:Merzouga Desert Excursion Visit (Nomads, Gnawas, Oases, and Meffis Mountain)

Today is a day of discovery and rest at the same time. Take advantage of this morning and wander through the alleys of Essaouira, also known as Mogador. Don’t miss the opportunity to taste the city’s fish, which is undoubtedly tender and not frozen. Visit Skala and its surroundings, as well as the small, pristine beach, are worth visiting. After lunch, we will take you on a tour to Sidi Kaouki, 30 km away from Essaouira, to spend the rest of the time enjoying the sunset in one of the cafes overlooking the sea, or you can also try surfing or quads. At the end of the day, we return to the Riad to rest and spend the last night in Essaouira.

    Day 4:Merzouga Desert - Rissani - Boulajoul

Today, after breakfast and packing your stuff, we leave Merzouga Desert and drive to Boulajoul, where we will stay for the night. On our way, we will stop in Rissani, the birthplace of the honorable Alawite state. Here, time travel combines with diving into Morocco’s most ancient, authentic markets.

Thanks to its thousand-scented market, the city is the heart of regional commerce. The market square is a place for meetings and exchanges, where merchants (traders) receive visitors from hundreds of nearby palaces. There is exceptional movement in the market on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays in particular. If you happen to visit on a live market day, you will experience both amazement and entertainment.

From Rissani, we depart for Boulajoul. Lunch is on the way at a local restaurant that specializes in barbecue. In the afternoon, we drop you off at your hotel for an overnight stay.
