    6 Days Morocco Trip

Day 1: Arrival in Tangier » Visit the Historical attractions » Drive to Chefchaouen

We believe that there is no perfect way to start this 6-day itinerary in Morocco except with an airport pick-up by one of our well-informed driver guides, who will accompany you and do his best to show you as many possible places during your 6-day tour. The itinerary takes you from the airport to the city’s monuments, such as the Cave of Hercule and Cape Spartel, in addition to the ancient Medina. Feel free to have lunch here in Tangier before we cross the Rif Mountain to reach Chefchaouen. Along the way, there is so much for the eyes to see. Once we arrive at our destination, the blue town, the time still permits us to do a walking tour in the Medina. Overnight stay in a beautiful Riad in the heart of Medina

    Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes

From Chefchaouen, we drive to Fes City. If you are a lover of history and civilization, be ready to hear a lot of history today. Volubilis is the first interesting place to visit. It is a historical city dating back to the Roman era. The city was founded in the first century AD and was an important commercial and administrative center in the Roman Empire. After the fall of the Roman Empire, Volubilis became part of the Vandal Kingdom.

Then the Byzantine Empire in the 7th century AD, the Arabs conquered and Layla became part of the Umayyad Caliphate. In the eleventh century AD, Volubilis became part of the Almoravid Kingdom, then the Almohad Kingdom. In the thirteenth century AD, Volubilis became part of the Marinid Kingdom, then the Wattasid Kingdom. In the sixteenth century AD, Volubilis became part of the Ottoman Empire. In the 19th century AD, Volubilis became part of Morocco.

Thereafter, we move to Meknes. The city of Meknes was founded in the 11th century by the Almoravids as a military institution. It became the capital of the state during the reign of Moulay Ismail (1672–1727), the founder of the Alawite dynasty, who made Meknes a wonderful city of the Spanish-Moorish style, surrounded by high walls with large gates, which today show a harmonious alliance between the styles of Islamic and European architecture in seventeenth-century Morocco. Next, from Meknes, we drive to Fes for an overnight stay.

Day 3: Fes » Ifrane » Cedar Forest » Midelt » Zaida » Ziz Valley » Erfoud » Sahara Desert

In the early morning, we leave Fes City and hit the road towards the mesmerizing desert of Merzouga, where we will arrive an hour before sunset. From Fes to Merzouga Desert, we have several stops to make, such as in Ifrane, a city known as the Little Switzerland. Here, feel free to walk in its streets, which will make you feel as if you are in Europe. Once you are ready to continue, we will drive to the Cedar Forest, where we will see the wild macaques. If you want, buy some peanuts or bananas from Berber sellers in the area and feed the monkeys.

Later, we set off again for lunch in Zaida or Medilt, before continuing to the Sahara Desert. At around 5:30 o’clock of the afternoon, we reach the golden dunes of Merzouga. There, your camels wait to carry you to the camp. While you are crossing the vast desert, you will stop at the big dune to catch a wonderful sunset, then continue the way. A glass of mint tea and a Berber dinner await your arrival at the camp. In the camp, get ready to dance a lot, enjoy a lot, and live the real desert vibes.

Day 4: Merzouga Desert » Rissani » Todgha Gorge » Boumalne Dades

Today, we are leaving the Sahara Desert and traveling west to Boumalne Dades. Along the way, we will stop several times. For instance, we will stop in Rissani, a city well-known for its traditional market, which operates three times a week on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. If we face the day when the market is live, we are lucky to see the wonders of Rissani’s Market. Later, we continue to Todgha Gorge, a fascinating place that provides a blend of natural beauty, adventure, and cultural exploration. Enjoy the peace and quiet of the High Atlas. From the gorge, we travel to Tinghir City for lunch at a traditional local restaurant. Once we have lunch, we drive directly to our destination, Boumalne Dades, for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Boumalen Ddaes » Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Tizi N’Tichka » Marrakech

How lovely it is to hear the noises and melodies of birds when you wake up in the middle of the Atlas Mountains. Before departing for Marrakech, have your breakfast and let’s take a quick trip to the Dades Gorge. The Dades River meanders through the gorge, creating a stunning scene with its sheer cliff sides and towering rock formations. Take some photos of the enchanting place and let’s move to the Rose Valley and women’s cooperatives to see what kinds of products they make out of roses.

Later, we set off again to the charming Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified town nestled along the ancient caravan route connecting the Sahara Desert and Marrakech. The Kasbah represents Morocco’s rich history and architecture. Afterwards, we leave the place and drive to Marrakech via Tizi N’Tichka, a connecting point between Marrakech and Ouarzazate. Tizi N’Tichka is situated at an elevation of 2260 meters above sea level. Once we traverse the Grand Atlas Mountains, we reach Marrakech, where we will deposit you at a delightful Riad.

Day 6: Marrakech » Airport Transfer

Your 6-Day Essential Morocco Tour Comes to its last day. If your departure is during the morning, we will transfer you to the airport.
