Your third day of Morocco 5-Day Tour starts with a round-trip trip to many enchanting places that you will fall in love with. First, we will visit the backpackers, also known as nomads. Indeed, nomads reside everywhere in Morocco, whether in the Atlas or the Sahara. Here, they have set up their handwoven tents behind the dunes and established their livelihood by offering tea glasses to anyone passing by. Either tourists or Arabic people. Tipping is much appreciated here. Later, visit Meffis, which is famous for its fossil foundation, eyeliner mine, and numerous other minerals.
Thereafter, we go to the Gnawa musicians, where we can have a second tea glass while listening to their ancient African rhythms. Later, we make a pause for lunch at a nearby local restaurant. Next, take a walk to a fabulous oasis near the dunes to see what’s growing here. Finally, we drive late in the afternoon to the hotel. If you still like, you can rent a quad and drive through the dunes or “sandboard” (free rental).

Here, the vendors offer various traditional Moroccan goods, like spices, pottery, and textiles. Handmade using traditional techniques passed down through generations, the fabrics are perfect for adding a pop of color and texture to any room in your home.
From Rissani, we move towards the charming gorge of Todgha, a place where you can feel nature and fascinate yourself with a magical view of rivers, mountains, and rocks. Feel free to take a walk and enjoy the maximum amount of time here before we set off again. Not far from the Gorge, we will stop by again for lunch in a Berber local restaurant. In the late afternoon, we will reach our main destination for an overnight stay at a fantastic Riad located in the heart of the mountains.

In the area, you can visit one of the women’s cooperatives that specializes in producing different products from roses that grow in the region. Absolutely. Marrakech is the most colorful of all Moroccan cities when it comes to traditional shopping, as it has been for hundreds of years. For many tourists, shopping is a central part of their trip, and in Morocco, there are so many exotic products to browse and choose from. “Souks” are the traditional Arab markets.
Souqs primarily offer items such as leather, carpets, metalwork, pottery, traditional Muslim clothing, traditional lanterns, nuts and dried fruits, jewelry, argan oil, and much more. There is an amazing variety of spices, teas, nuts, and other exotic products.
No, tourists can mostly wear what they like, but it is advisable to dress modestly (i.e., no mini skirts or bikini tops in public) so as not to offend the locals.
Go for at least two weeks; if one only has limited time, then prioritize Marrakesh. Here, you will get the fastest insight into the diverse and colorful culture of Morocco.
You can always exchange euros across the country. You can even pay in euros very frequently. Swiss Francs are not very popular, so you have to go to an official exchange office or bank to exchange them. If you can’t pay in EUR, we recommend directly changing MAD (Moroccan dirham) upon arrival. Coins in foreign currency, however, are not welcome.
It is advisable not to drink the water from the tap, even if local people do. They’re used to it. However, water is readily available everywhere. A bottle costs about 6 MAD (60 cents).
